Feed The Void
I have always wanted to try to make a deckbuilder that is not a roguelike, but instead an incremental. This was a project I started almost a year ago, but didn't have the time to make it properly work until recently. Let me know what you think!
This is becoming a full game on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4476320/Feed_The_Void

I doubt my experience was standard, but I happened to beat the game with only two prestiges. I really should've reset more, but I was just having so much fun with the first 13 cards and didn't feel like introducing anything new, because everything was working so well. I'm definitely continuing my playthrough, but it's crazy how fun this game is, no matter how you play. Really well done!
Already following the project waiting for the final release. I loved the demo.
Maybe my internet is bad on this specific computer, but it's been nearly 5 minutes and the game is only like 80% downloaded.
Will we be able to transfer our saves from the demo to the full game?
very proud i could get 10+K with an Elk + carpet construct combo (worked nicely with mirror + mana drop mage)
I remembered when this was relatively small. Congrats on your traction.
very addicting deckbuilder! loving it so far
Well, not anymore...
what was your deck?
1 golem with additional amass rune and bind, 2 mirrors, 2 mages, energizer, 3 spirits and candle.
Artifacts you can see on screen, chest almost maxed up. Every card is maxed. Smth like that. Dublicate that golem and you will see some warcrimes
I have a mage with Mana Drop. First round, should cost 1 to cast. I have 1, but it says I don't have enough energy :-(
Great game though.
I love the game this concept is also something I've wondered about, but just a small thing. When the Elk has the rune, Herd Support, and you use the mirror on another card, Herd Support does not activate twice. I don't know if that is intentional, but it's just a small thing I found. Anyways, love the game <3
it very much is intended. Game considers playing a card and triggering it two distinct actions and mirror simply double triggers. For example some relics care about playing some number of cards, in which case mirror counts for itself and the retriggered card counts for one. I think in earlier version mirror replayed the next played card, in which case those workings would be better, but sadly it only uses the cards prexisting triggers and light value
Great game! Wishlisted on steam <3
satisfying, rides the balatro wave nicely. cool combos, the progress felt artificially slow, maybe I am spoiled by aforementioned. the force-reset of deck to progress further was a mild frustration. graphics and lore 10/10, stayed couple of hours.
I'd have to disagree, the pacing doesn't seem drawn out and lets you take time to learn synergy.
Hey Barribob. Could you maybe make this but for Chromebooks? I apologize for the inconveinience
Loved the demo, wishlisted on Steam. Very excited for a 1.0 release, this is right up my alley
Oh, I should have realized you were the same dev as Magic Archery and Wizard Tower! No wonder I loved this.
This was so fun
very fun game, beat it with only two rebirths, i love the runes and combos u can d
amazing keep up the good work ma
Try this game and send feedback https://gd.games/andrewmhanna/3d-maze
Absolutely obsessed with this game! I've beaten the demo and since then, have come back so many times to idly play. It's such a perfect background game with just enough thinking that I don't feel too confused on how to approve :) So excited to see future developments!!
I loved maxing everything ! What a potential, I love it ! Thank you ! :)
try my game pl
i completed the demo on my first run... so addictive
Feed the void is such a cool game, very nice artwork
I can't stop playing bro
fun game, would recommend
the druid seems powerful
This game rules, great work!
Once the full release is out, I'd love to try and port this to portmaster for hand helds!
pleasantly calm
fantastico, una obra maestra
hola
>:D
I couldn’t stop playing this once I got started. So addictive!
I love the artwork style and the mechanics. This is my kind of game. Thanks!
absolutely delightful demo. i tried a few different strategies (druidmaxxing, heavy mirror, afterglow) and enjoyed them all! i was surprised and delighted when i reluctantly tried heavy mirror after convincing myself that druidmaxxing was the best strategy, only to find that heavy mirror was just as good, if not better. i was sad when mirroring a mirror did not grant me 2 copies of the reflect buff.
one thing about this game that makes me a little worried about its future is how some cards/relics are absolutely bonkers powerful [wanderer, candle, mirror, retain] while others seem not useful to a mysterious degree [leviathan, broodmother, beholder, glutton, centaur, salvage]. hopefully it's a similar case as with the heavy mirror build, and i just haven't wrapped my brain around their true power!
oh, also! the game is SO close to being playable on mobile (web). all the UI is positioned and scales nicely, but cards and level select get clipped off the edge of the screen and there's no way to scroll them horizontally
oh, also also!! i like how the first void is purple and all the artwork and cards and stuff is also purple. i was honestly surprised when all the non-void stuff remained purple on later levels instead of getting recolored to match the new color of void. really makes u think
Hi, I loved the demo too ! But I found the leviathan really strong, my strategy was leviathan maxing and mirror maxing (nekomata is a good support), and of course the candle, and the beholder is a really strong card, I think you noticed that, but I agree with you there is some much potential ! :)
I like this game, the artwork!
This game is amazing not only because of its artwork but also because of how everything can interact with each other. For example, I like to combo mage (with mana drop) and mirror causing me to have a free card. (also adding this to my collection).
A really nice idea and the implementation is good too. I am looking forward to the final version.
I really like that there are no enemies, it's just you trying to make the best moves you can. The art looks nice, the cards do what I expect, overall a fun little game.
The only real problem I've had, and I've played for about five hours and beaten the game with both decks, is that for whatever reason the turn counter just doesn't work. I'm not saying it's broken, but almost every time, I'd look at it, it'd say two turns left, I'd assume that meant two turns left, finish the turn, and suddenly it's the last round.
It's counting the current round in the "rounds left" and every time I'd immediately forget that and then get caught by it next time.
Really fun… only card I didn’t like was the smith. Enjoyed making combos and building strategies, but the RNG on the smith didn’t usually support my plans. Its a very fun deckbuilder tho.
I haven’t finished playing the whole game, but I love it! This is so fun to play. I keep playing it in my free time because it’s addicting!
anyone got games that play like this one to recommend?
The two closest I can recommend as far as card games with changing rules are Balatro and My Card is Better than Your Card. The second is one of my favorite games to unwind with right now. You place rules stickers on your cards to build the best deck you can. It's got bright colors and plays like making up games with your friends on the playground. I love it.
Just finished! I cant wait for the full game!
